History and Overview:
The Ever-Changing Church
Built on the Never-Changing Word
In 1983, Pastor Sam Bailey was called to minister to a local congregation of thirteen people, which ultimately became Twin Lakes Baptist Church. From humble beginnings in a rented building, the church has grown and developed for twenty-three years. It continues to grow steadily, with over two thousand people currently on the membership role.
The church facilities include 17.38 acres in a prime location with three main structures: a worship center, an education building, and an administration area, for a total of 43,915 debt-free square feet. Just opened in April 2007 is another facility, the Hope Center, a 33,748 square foot family life center, Included in the Hope Center is a chapel, a full size gymnasium, complete commercial kitchen facilities, exercise and aerobic rooms, eight restrooms with showers, a walking track with video monitors, conference room, office space, youth center, and over a dozen classrooms with full audio/video multi-media capability.
Twin Lakes Baptist is a church that endeavors to minister to everyone. Elsewhere on this web site, you will see information about teaching, ministry and social activities that are offered to various age groups. Additionally, there are ministries designed to serve those with specific needs and interests. As an ever-changing church, new groups are regularly being formed to meet the
needs of a diverse
congregation.

Cherished Beliefs:
We believe that there is one God, manifest in three persons, the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit;
We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave and ascended into Heaven;
We believe in the literal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth;
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God without any error; the sole authority for life;
We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image;
We believe that mankind fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and that all men are sinners in need of salvation;
We believe that salvation is a gift given through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ;
We believe that every person who truly is saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ;
We believe that those persons who die in their sins spend eternity in Hell and those persons who die with their sins forgiven spend eternity in Heaven;
We believe that baptism is in obedience to the command of Christ and is by immersion after salvation;
We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with Jesus Christ as the head;
We believe that each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ;
We believein the separation of church and state, but not in the separation of God and government.
"The Joy of Belonging"
How to become a Member of Twin Lakes Baptist Church:
You can join the church in 3 ways...
1. You can join through Salvation (accepting Christ as your Savior) followed by Biblical Baptism.
2. You can join by transfer of membership with a letter from your former church. (The church office takes care of this for you.)
3. You can join by your own personal statement of faith that you are saved.
